From a small group of women leaders in 2016 to annual conferences that brought iconic voices to Westchester, this is the story of how WLI has raised the visibility and number of women leaders.
In 2016, a group of women leaders convened to assess opportunities for increasing the number and visibility of women leaders.
The group met several times to discuss the relevance and value of a WLI initiative to develop women leaders. The outgrowth of those meetings was the creation of the Women's Leadership Institute Conference, first held on March 25, 2017.
Through consultation and research, 10 topics were identified as having crucial impact on leadership development. They were discussed and elaborated upon during panel discussions by senior-level women leaders, who shared their personal journeys of career advancement.

A resource group of women leaders was convened to guide the production of our first conference. Panel discussions by senior-level women leaders explored the 10 topics identified as having crucial impact on leadership development, highlighting how they acquired the acumen needed to foster forward movement.

A day filled with powerful information conveyed by nationally recognized leaders. Keynote speaker Jennifer Jones Austin presented steps and techniques that helped participants refine their vision and break through limiting mental models to access meaningful leadership opportunities.
The conference format evolved after year-long discussions with community leaders who identified trends of gender bias impacting leadership opportunities. Their primary objective: bring iconic women to present cutting-edge information to help participants overcome challenges while creating limitless possibilities for themselves and their organizations.

The 2019 conference brought together a community of iconic and innovative women with an eye on developing the next generation of leaders. It attracted women and girls of all ages and backgrounds who were interested in building leadership skills and strategies to foster gender equity.
The Women's Leadership Institute Conference is a full-day conference that brings together emerging and established women in business. Panelists share career advice, as well as insight on the latest trends and professional development.
WLI continued its tradition of bringing women together to learn from accomplished leaders, engage with a supportive network, and gain strategies that transform career trajectories.
